Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Wedding Day for Two Brides. DESCRIPTION: Miss Jennifer Bevan’s marriage to Mr John Lowther, at St Michael’s, Chester Square, drew many Londoners, in spite of the simplicity of the wedding, which had been postponed owing to the death of the King. The scene at Caxton Hall provided a great contrast, where vast crowds had collected to see Elizabeth Taylor (now Mrs Wilding) come out with her husband. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Crowds surge forward. At St Michael’s. Chester Square, small crowd outside, arrival of small bridesmaids & pages. Miss Jennifer Bevan arrives with her father, enter church. Leaving church bride & groom, can hardly seen the groom. At Caxton Hall, large crowds outside, surge forward as cars arrive. Police try to cope with crowds. Michael Wilding & Elizabeth Taylor out of Hall, SCU of them, making their way to their car. Car drives through large crowd.
