- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Princess Starts River Race. DESCRIPTION: Some 200 crews entered for the Head of the River Silver Jubilee Race, which was run as a time race from Mortlake to Putney. Princess Elizabeth was there to start the race. Two days later, Her Royal Highness was at London Airport on her way to join the Duke of Edinburgh in Malta. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Silhouette - eight carry boat out of boathouse, out of camera. Into camera - carrying boat. Elevated GV boats - eights on the river. MS back view one of crew massages his bottom. SCU Doggett Coat Badge holders. CU Berry who holds same. Princess Elizabeth walks down to launch, & assisted aboard. Several shots including CUs of Princess Elizabeth seated in launch under way.
