Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rugger - Scotland Beat Wales. DESCRIPTION: An exuberant crowd at Murrayfield saw Scotland defeat Wales. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Crowd shot (library). Crowd shot - record crowd. Children fight over their emblems, also one uses rugger tackle. Large imitation leek & other thing being danced round. Elevated GV Scotland (darker shirts) kick off. General play. Various scrums. Scotland attack. Penalty goal scored by Thompson. Crowds cheering. Kick-off 2nd half. SV spectators, one jumps up & down. Scotland attack, around Wales end. Crowd filing onto field - overcrowding. End of drop goal, ball passing between uprights. Gordon scores try & Inglis converts. Gordon scores another try, hits upright trying to convert. Dawson after shambles around Wales goal, scores Scotland’s third try. Thompson out of camera converts. Cut-ins cheering crowds, nearly going mad. Crowds rush onto field at end. Finish on SCU scoreboard, Scotland 19, Wales 0.
