MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Personalities in the News. DESCRIPTION: At Lake Coniston, Donald Campbell has been held up by poor conditions. Bluebird’s engine has been damaged but he was still hoping to resume operations. At Heathrow, Darryl Zanuck arriving with his wife, is greeted by their 15 year old son Richard. Mrs Violet Wells, of Romford, whose small son was born during the same hour as the baby Princess receives a telegram from Princess Elizabeth. SHOTLIST: KS. Cameramen & newspapers. Close-up Donald Campbell. MS Bluebird on Lake Coniston. Timekeepers on shore. Campbell & Leo Villa on Bluebird with engine all sparking. Mix to Heathrow, Stratocruiser taxies in. Zanuck & wife alight - two shots. Greeted by their son Richard, kisses them. Bouquet given to Mrs Zanuck. SCU of Mr D Zanuck. Slip pan, Romford, Essex, SCU baby child, born almost same time as Princess Elizabeth’s daughter. Mrs Wells, the mother with baby. Mrs Wells reading telegram received from Princess Elizabeth. CU telegram.
