MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Christmas Thoughts for the Infirm. DESCRIPTION: At St Dunstan’s Sir Ian Fraser receives a parcel from Mr Mighell, Australian acting High Commissioner. Through the generosity of cinema-goers in Australia, there were Christmas parcels for 25,000 blinded ex-servicemen and women. At Seymour Hall, Marylebone, a big Christmas party was attended by nearly a thousand infantile paralysis victims. SHOTLIST: KS. GV of Blind Hospital. Interior - Mr Mighell presents food parcel to Sir Ian Fraser. SCU Fraser speaking (making a speech). Food parcels distributed to the blind with the aid of the blind. At Seymour Hall, infantile paralysis (Polio) victims. Shots of them seated & eating, shots of arrivals - interiors. Vera Lynn cuts huge Christmas cake. Crowds enjoying themselves. Balloons fall from ceiling. Comedienne singing "Knees Up Mother Brown".
