Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cattle Ranching in Scotland. DESCRIPTION: In a Highland deer forest, which previously only sheltered grouse and deer, the experiment of cattle ranching on New World lines is being put into operation. The whole idea is Lord Lovat’s, who has thrown his whole heart and energies into the plan of providing more home-grown beef. SHOTLIST: KS. Cattle in stream. Farmers looking across the countryside, several shots. Cattle moving down hillside. Cattle crossing stream. Lord Lovat drives cattle into corral. Cattle being inoculated. Cattle’s tails being cut (bobbed). They are then forced though a dipper. Calves loaded onto carts. Pan of Lord Lovat’s herd. SCU Lord Lovat speaking on ranching & farming of cattle.
