MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Erith Inaugurate Mobile Food Distribution. DESCRIPTION: A new scheme has just started in Erith to deliver cooked meals by van to areas not already covered by civic restaurants. SHOTLIST: KS Interior kitchen, women working. Chef tasting soup etc. Various activities in kitchen. Exterior shots van, pan of same on side reads Erith Communal Mobile Kitchen. Mr Norman Dodds (local MP) says I am thinking of the wives, who must realise you cannot live on love alone (or words to that affect). MS rear doors being closed, vans drive off, in rear can be seen the communal restaurant. Stopped in street, cooked meals being distributed to people. Interior - two women eating a meal. Younger woman says Well Mum what do you think. Older woman replies Well its just like mother makes isn’t it.
