MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Herring Season in Full Swing. DESCRIPTION: The herring harvest is reported not to be so good this year but the scene is brisk at Great Yarmouth when the drifters come in. SHOTLIST: KS SCU drifter leaving harbour. MS drifter entering and another leaving harbour. Several shots of drifters outside harbour, seagulls flying around same. MS drifter alongside quay being unloaded of their catch. SCU herring being packed into cases. Scots girls gutting herrings. MS Irishmen gutting herrings. Cut-ins of lines of cases of herrings. Several shots of herrings. Cut-in looking into hold shows herring being hoisted out of same.
