MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Movietone Has a Go. DESCRIPTION: Movietone visits the radio show Have a Go, where Lionel Gamlin takes to the stage to dispute an answer with Wilfred Pickles. SHOTLIST: KS & pan of audience singing Welsh National song. CU Wilfred Pickles laughing. Cut-in of audience applauding. MS Pickles addressing audience, the rest is shot in sound. First competitor (girl on crutches) comes to front of stage, Pickles asks her question Who is commentator of British Movietone News. She answers Leslie Mitchell. Camera pans to Lionel Gamlin seated in audience, who protests, comes onto stage, various greetings. Gamlin points out mistake, Pickles says give him the money, Gamlin takes the pound, then Pickles asks him a question Who was the commentator of the BBC during the war with a North Country accent. Gamlin That’s easy, Alvar Lidell. Pickles: Correct, give the money back. Cut of audience applauding to finish.
