MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Land & the Task. DESCRIPTION: The bad weather of last winter has disrupted our food supplies. The Minister of Agriculture, Tom Williams, tells us what we can all do to help the situation. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS CU plough turning up the earth. LIBRARY - Shots of sheep dead in snow, dead sheep being carried across snow. Cars and vehicles drive through flooded roads. GV plough driving through fields, ploughing same up. CU plough churning up the earth. LS Tom Williams (Minister of Agriculture) with Mr Turner (President of the National Farmers Union) walk across field towards camera. CU Tom Williams speaking about the disaster which has befallen us on the farms etc. How we should all help etc. LIBRARY - Children digging on allotments, also men digging in park allotments and back gardens during the war.
