MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Terrorism in Palestine. DESCRIPTION: The latest outrage in Jerusalem was the bombing of the British Officers’ Club. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS GV street of Jerusalem. GV Goldsmith Club before blowing up. CU the name Goldsmiths Club - Officers Only over entrance of club. Various shots of ruined building, shows troops with bulldozers clearing wreckage, dumping masonry into lorries. Searching for bodies. GV Jewish Agency Building, opposite the Goldsmith Club. CU Nameplate outside Jewish Agency Building (in English and Yiddish). Troops search ruins for bodies. Troops patrolling streets, making several arrests, calling at houses and bringing out prisoners, men and women. Placing barbed wire across streets. Armoured cars and infantry patrol deserted streets, Jews at balconies of their houses as troops patrol streets below. Various shots of empty streets. CU of soldier talking (silent) into mike.
