MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ship a Day - Launch of the Parthia. DESCRIPTION: The Harland and Wolff’s Shipyard in Belfast is booming and is typical of yards throughout the British Isles. SHOTLIST: KS GV ship on stocks. GV of docks, heavy cranes etc. shot from a launch. Slow pan of ships on stocks from left to right. GV ship on stocks, pan of ship on stocks. Elevated shot of skeleton of ship. MS showing ribs of ship. MS riveters at work on deck of ship. GV ship’s deck, under construction. GV workmen at work on deck. MS workman hammering plates of deck. Elevated shot ship on stocks, GV workmen on deck. MS welder, working on deck. MS welder, working on deck. Several shots SCU riveters at work on deck-plates and sides of ship.
