- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Agricultural Autumn. DESCRIPTION: In Somerset the apples are being gathered for cider making. Potatoes and sugar beet are being lifted and the autumn ploughing is underway. SHOTLIST: KS GV of factory. Cart load of apples entering yard of Taunton Cider. Interior of factory at Taunton, Somerset, apples having juices pressed from them (2 shots). GV factory. Outside public house two country farmers, sit on wooden seat, have glasses of cider brought to them, drinking same. Girls (various shots) picking potatoes after, a mechanical lifter throwing potatoes up. 4 shots of sugar beet lifted. Various shots of tractor ploughing in progress. Plough at work. Ploughing competition in progress. CU farmer guiding plough pulled by horse. CU farmer’s feet going through furrow which plough makes. CU wheat.
