Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Prayers for Uno’s Success. DESCRIPTION: At St Paul’s Cathedral the King and Queen attended the Service of Intercession for the United Nations meeting which was to open in New York a few days later. SHOTLIST: KS GV Dome of St Paul’s. Royal car arrives, King and Queen alight, King in naval uniform. Mount steps, greeted at top by Dr Matthews, Dean of St Paul’s. King and Queen inside cathedral. Church dignitaries lead procession out, followed by Lord Mayor carrying the Sword, the King and Queen following him. King and Queen stop to talk with church dignitaries. GV King and Queen walking down steps to car. Enter car and drive off, crowds cheer. Mr and Mrs Attlee and daughter walk down steps, enter car. Lord Mayor (Sir Charles Davis) enters car. SCU Group shot of Sir Stafford and Lady Cripps, Lord Jowitt etc. Group shot Diplomatic Corps, the Chinese diplomat raises his hat to another, majority of them dressed in morning dress.
