MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Truman Sees Naval Manoeuvres. DESCRIPTION: On American Navy Day President Truman visits the fleet which was on manoeuvres off the Virginia Capes. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated shot of flight deck of Aircraft Carrier "Franklin D Roosevelt", personnel paraded. Truman on plane elevator to flight deck. Guns fire presidential salute. Truman inspects personnel. He wears during visit several types of headgears. Steaming out to sea, destroyer in background and planes of carrier on flight deck with wings folded. Pilot-less plane launched by catapult. Cut-ins Truman looking through field glasses. Several shots of radar on ship. Formation of planes flying overhead. Ack-ack of ships fire at robot plane, which is shot into the sea.
