MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mount Ruapehu Erupts. DESCRIPTION: Ruapehu, a large volcano in New Zealand has become active and it’s once snow capped summit is now covered in volcanic ash. SHOTLIST: KS Aerial and various ground shots of Mount Ruapehu volcano eruption. Elevated shot of crater (used to be a lake), lava, clouds of steam and gas emitting from same. Skiers inspect hole caused by falling lava. Aerial shot of clouds with Mount Egmont appearing above same, this being ninety miles, also shot of Mount Ngarahoe. Very good scenic material, please note. Various shots of volcano erupting, lava, smoke etc. rising up to six thousand feet into the air.
