By the end of 2007 it Had set itself the aim to have practically all its course materials online although this has proved hard to sustain. The courses range from Chemistry, Economics, History, Literature and Physics and these can be downloaded as zip files.

The National Theatre’s website has been active since 1998 and provides information on its productions by way of press reviews, posters, programmes, stills, set and costume designs etc. which are available to view to anyone but only by appointment. Since 1995 they have also been recording their own productions, or co-productions, which are put on at their theatres on the South Bank using a single fixed video camera. These can only be viewed on their premises and no copies can be made. A full list of the items on video is given, in alphabetical order. Very little of this wealth of information is actually available online, though the website is a useful guide to the resources available to students and researchers if they are prepared to make the trip to the Archive, which is situated near Kennington Park in London.

American online video store of basic design and limited catalogue information, covering feature films and documentary material such as National Geographic, Nova, science, nature and history, also opera, classical music, dance and literature. The company, also using the name ‘Viewfinders’, specialises in supplying material in video rather than DVD format and the site contains a regularly updated list of the new factory wrapped VHS titles they have remaining in stock. They claim to be able to supply virtually any video/DVD that is in current distribution in the US. In addition the site offers a ‘Radio Program’ of 3-minute audio descriptions of recommended films.

Organised into 19 gateways covering Science and Technology, Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, and Health and Life Sciences. Previously known as the Resource Discovery Network. NB Intute closed in July 2011 and the site has now been archived. No further resources are being added and no changes are being made to existing content, so the resource will increasingly become less useful and reliable.
