Although there are many websites devoted to classic TV programmes, this one distinguishes itself for its better than average design and layout and for the seriousness with which it approaches its subject and the level of detail it provides. The site includes broadcast information on UK TV and some radio programmes, giving credits and transmission dates (both mostly taken from the Radio Times), interviews, articles, news, as well as a discussion forum with some 300 registered users. There is also a link to the homepage of a related publication, Timescreen which is devoted to TV fantasy programmes - it includes web versions of the magazine’s articles. In addition there is a gazetteer which features useful details of other similar forums, details on distributors and like-minded publications.

This multimedia site is devoted to the works of the poet Wilfred Owen and required Real, Windows Media Player and QuickTime to access some of the content. Although the front page of the site is cluttered and unclear and can be quite discouraging to the casual user and can be rather off-putting, in general WOMDA does in fact contain a wealth of material which can be accessed through the browse page. This includes digital copies of practically all of Owen’s original manuscripts, many of his letters, audio interviews with war veterans, as well as a large number of video clips taken from the Imperial War Museum’s holdings as well as material made more recently, all of which also relates to the First World war in general.

The parent site of epguides provides vast amounts of information relating to episodes of British and American television programmes, both fiction and non fiction. There are some very large gaps in many of the non-American entries especially and it is not always completely accurate either - it is nonetheless an invaluable resource, giving cast, crew, plot and transmission details for thousands of television programmes. It now includes useful 7-day listings facility for most TV channels in its local UK version. Previously known as TV Tome.
