George Chandler: A Global Career

Synopsis
An interview with George Chandler, past librarian of Liverpool and retired Director-General of the National Library of Australia. The conversation begins with his early years in Birmingham, through his years in Leeds and Dudley, devoting most time to his period as City Librarian of Liverpool (1952-1974) and the rebuilding of the central complex of libraries in that city.
