Synopsis
Discusses occurrences of tornadoes in the USA and the damage caused by tornadoes. Time-lapse photography, radar and laboratory models are shown in use as instruments for studying the formation of tornadoes and the parallel phenomena of waterspouts and dust devils are also shown. The demonstrations cover vorticity and the effect of suction spots within a tornado.
