Play synopsis

An autobiographical light comedy in which ‘Job Edwards, landlord of The Druid’s Rest, a small pub in the Welsh village of Tan-y-Maes, is devoted to music. But a newspaper report that a certain Mr George Joseph Smith, who murders brides in his bath, has been seen in Wales brings some rather unmusical complications’ (TV Times, 31 May 1957, p. 19).
