Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Darwin Defence Force. DESCRIPTION: Australia’s outpost. SHOTLIST: Aerial view over Darwin. Mrs Gordon and her parrot are one of Darwin’s famous characters. The Australian flag flies over this lonely outpost and the district is administrated from the house of Mr Abbott. Here too Mrs Abbott entertains. In the barracks the defence Force play chess. Among the memorials of Darwin are the war memorial and the plate commemorating the landing the Smith Brothers. Also street scenes.
