Summary
Babcock and Wilcox synopsis: From "o’er the hills and o’er the water", they came for the Highland games at Dunoon, where a thousand pipes and two hundred Scottish dancers competed for the championships of the World. Even poor weather in August could not damp the enthusiasm, as stalwart competitors put the shot or tossed the caber. For Babcock followers of the games it was a proud occasion when, in the track events, a B. & W. man breasted the tape to win the half-mile.
