Summary
COI synopsis: Science and technology is constantly at work searching for ways to help the farmer and the horticulturist to speed things up and improve output. Machinery at the rear of a tractor is normally counter-balanced with dead weights on the front. But, a British firm have discarded those weights. Using a simple linkage system, they’ve replaced them with a second piece of machinery. And they’ve also devised an electrically operated clutch so that, for the first time, a tractor can carry powered tools at the front and the back. It means that haymarking time will be cut in half.
