Summary
Rhodesian Spotlight synopsis: Glimpses of the Northern Rhodesian Show at Ndola opened by the Governor General.
Rhodesian Spotlight Commentary - His Excellency the Governor General arrives to open the Northern Rhodesian Industrial and Commercial Show held in Ndola. The pomp and ceremony which attended the opening was a contrast to the informal atmosphere of the Show itself. It covered a wide scope and Spotlight looked around at one of the quieter times. The stands were well laid out, and exhibitors used novel methods of displaying their wares. Considerable space was devoted to transport - from bicycles, to cars, and following the most tropical trend, even travel into outer space. We would have liked to have shown you a good deal more of the Ndola Show, but unfortunately our cameraman ran out of film waiting for these two girls to stand up.
