- BFI Summary - a heavy-duty cross-country vehicle under test
Film User Summary - a remarkable cross-country vehicle with six-wheel drive and power-assisted steering.
Shell synopsis: The second feature is entitled ‘Off The Beaten Track’ and shows a six wheel drive truck being tested in challenging conditions. Cross country performance is made possible by its exceptional clearance, hence the high build of the vehicle. Suspension enables the front wheels to follow the ground without upsetting the trim so that the load on both wheels remains even. Power steering uses compressed air to assist the driver, while deeply cut treads and broad low pressure tyres improve grip and help prevent difficulties in marshy ground. - Keywords
