Summary
NoS synopsis: We follow on the the nearly 4,000 cars that travel on London Transport’s railways as it is cleaned overnight. The maintenance staff clean and get rid of the rubbish that accumulates in the carriages. At the end of the day, the trains go to the depot, where examiners, guided by the drivers’ report cards inspect them for faults. We see an inspector checking safety gear, washing floors, and doing maintenance. The train goes through a washing machine. Last thing before the day, the crew check their train over.
