- NoS Summary - A round-up of the activities of London Transport during Autumn 1949.
NoS synopsis: The new Central Line extension from Loughton through Theydon Bois to Epping; London busmen flying at the Central London Flying Club, Fairoaks, Surrey; the London Transport military band and other employees practise their part in the Lord Mayor’s Show at Chiswick. Exhibits such as a horse-drawn bus and a modern RT (emblazoned with ‘London Transport at London’s Service’) took part. These displays ('Transport through the Ages’) are shown at the show too and the Lord Mayor’s carriage is shown at the end. - Keywords
