British Pathe synopsis: "Few attachments in history are of so touching a character as that of Ellen and John." Interior of a zoo cage. Two young monkeys sit in straw with their arms around each other. "Undying in their affection, they both started from scratch (and have kept it up ever since)." C/U of the monkeys cuddling and scratching their heads. "Just two lovers - plain Ellen (very) and John (even worse)." One of the monkeys puts its arm through the bars of the cage.
