British Pathe synopsis: "Heatherden Hall", Iver Heath, in leafy Bucks, nestling its stately walls in the wooded Chalfonts - " L/S of Heatherden Hall with a fountain in the foreground. Dissolve into a shot of two women walking through the gardens of the house with a large Irish Wolfhound. "Near here Gray wrote his immortal "Elegy", Milton lived, and William Penn died - " (This refers to Stoke Poges). M/S of the grand stately home with woman and dog in the foreground. L/S of the back of the house with ornamental gardens behind it. Woman poses by the fountain. M/S of two elegant women on the balcony of the house. "It is hard to realise we are only 16 miles from Hyde Park. Incidentally, in this exclusive Country Club House the ratification of the Irish Free State Treaty was settled." Three women walk through a leafy part of the garden with the house in the background. Woman is pulled along by the dog on a lead through the ornamental gardens. Another woman dips her hand into the water of a small pond. She has a younger dog beside her.
"After a stroll, a bathe - " Fantastic shot of the indoor swimming pool. A group of two men and two women in swimwear sit at a table having afternoon tea. They are served by a smartly dressed waiter. Dissolve into a shot of the three girls posing around a small fountain. The three girls walk down steps into the pool. "Teddy" meets a girl friend - " M/S of woman "shaking hands" with a topiary teddy bear. L/S of three women walking down a path which has topiary trees either side. "Backed by its beautiful gardens and tempting walks it remains a gem of Bucks - " L/S of the women and dogs in the gardens. M/S of the women walking through a stone archway with iron gates. Panning shot of deer running through the grounds. M/S of picturesque scene. A woman sits with her dog by the side of a river. M/S of woman paddling a canoe seen from inside a grotto.
