Summary

British Pathe synopsis: "Filmed at Margate". "There’s one thing this tough old world will never tire of - a cuddle. And the friendliest piece of cuddle is - Baby!" High angle shot of a row of mothers with babies on their laps. M/S of three women holding two babies each. High angle of the babies sitting at their mothers’ feet. High angle shot of all the babies sitting together in a group. M/S of all the babies. Quick shot of a some people seated on a podium - possibly judges of a baby competition. C/U of woman in large black hat holding a baby. High angle shot of a child and a dog sitting in highly decorated prams. C/U of a baby crying. "No home complete without one!" M/S of a crowd of mothers and babies. A proud father holds his baby up to the camera. Another mother shows off her pride and joy. Group of babies sitting on the ground. "Steps and "Stares". Children in swimwear stand on some concrete steps - one child on each step. C/U of one of the children who wears a very strange outfit - a kind of curtain around its shoulders and a pierrot ruffle. It points at the camera and starts to cry!
