Summary
NoS Summary - young children at a boarding house while parents holiday.
NoS synopsis: "It was in Putney we found the Babies Boarding House, where the bobbed-hair babies go, to grow - (whilst Ma and Pa snatch a short holiday)." M/S of a nursery room where five cots are lined up with babies inside them. Camera pans to show other babies in cots with a nurse standing by. A small child rides a rocking horse in the middle of the room. M/S of a tennis court. Nurse carries a baby down to the end of the court where the children are having a picnic. M/S of the toddlers sitting at tables. A nurse sits with one of the children as it eats. A small child rides a rocking horse next to the others. C/U of one of the children eating an apple. M/Ss of cots in the open air. Nursery nurses (or nannies) bring bottles for the young ones. "There are moments too full for words - this is one of them - " M/S of a baby behind bars lying in a cot drinking from a bottle. "Then the morning stroll -" A toddler is helped down some steps by a nurse. M/S of the exterior of the boarding house. Children are taken out for a walk, some in prams, some walking along.
