Summary
Summary - an animated cartoon.
NoS synopsis: '"New Inventions" An Italian has produced a liquid which defies the laws of gravitation. (vide press) - Our Tame Cartoonist shows some of the effects of this compound ---' intertitle with a cartoon of chemical apparatus in the background. ‘Little Willie becomes a bouncing boy.' Cartoon of a scientist and a boy in a laboratory. The boy drinks a liquid and floats upwards. He is caught suspended near the ceiling. The scientist climbs a ladder to get him down, but when he lets go, the boy floats back up again. ‘It is highly recommended to furniture removers.' Cartoon fo two men at the foot of a flight of stairs, one with a piano on his back. The one with the piano drinks the liquid and floats off up the stairs. The other waves at him. The stairs turn a corner. A sign on the wall reads "1ere Etage" as the man flies past. This sequence is repeated on the "2eme Etage", "3eme Etage" and "4eme Etage". ‘If our jockeys had this dope, we could put our shillings on certs?' [sic] Cartoon of a horse and jockey on a racetrack. The jockey drinks the liquid, floats up a little and is then towed away by the horse. The crowd watches as he overtakes the rest of the field. Incomplete.

BUND - The writing on the wall in one sequence suggests that this footage is of French origin.
