- Summary
- COI synopsis: There are many ties that bind Northern Ireland with the United States. During the eighteenth century tens of thousands of Ulster men and women crossed the Atlantic to America, and, to the land of their adoption, they gave of their best and helped to build the America we know today. Joan and Julius Evans, an American couple touring Britain, learn something about the ties between the two countries and they visit Northern Ireland in search of the people and places that link Ulster to the United States. At Belfast, Joan and Julius see the world’s largest ship-building yard, and then go to one of the famous linen mills of Northern Ireland. They tour the picturesque Ulster countryside and visit some of the country’s famous landmarks.
