- Summary
- COI synopsis: Every visitor to London sees the well-known sights - St. Paul’s, Westminster Abbey, the Tower etc., but Joan and Julius Evans, an American couple touring London, wanted to do more than theis. Among other things they talked to a trooper between duties at the Horse Guards, Whitehall, and learnt what the young soldier of today thinks of the pomp and ceremony of the past; they learn what cricket is all about during a visit to Lord’s; and Julius sets up his own meeting at the famous Speakers’ Corner in Hyde Park. These are but a few of their findings - street markets, Bohemian Soho, and a sixteenth century restaurant, are among the others.
