Summary

COI synopsis: When an apple fell on Isaac Newton’s head he blamed it all on gravity, but ethylene was just as much to blame. It makes fruit ripen, and causes fruit and leaves to fall. Research into the way it works could make a plant feel like autumn even when the sap is rising.
