Summary

COI synopsis: Remembering the teachers of his own schooldays, Ali Nour, an Arab painter visiting Britain, learns about the life and work of a young schoolmaster in a small Scottish country town. At the combined junior and secondary school the teacher takes boys and girls in formal classes and joins them in practical leisure-time activities. The importance of the teacher’s personality and his relations with his pupils come to the fore in the film.
