Summary
COI synopsis: The biggest problem of clearing forest area for agricultural use is the removal of the stumps and roots of the trees. These can be blasted out with high explosives but the work is dangerous and not always successful. Now a new machine has been developed that overcomes the problem by simply plucking the tree - roots and all - out of the ground.
