- COI synopsis: The last decade has seen a man on the moon and the birth of a test tube baby. Yet for a century or more much of our everyday lives and the way we do things has remained remarkably unchanged. It’s just the occasional leap of imagination that can suddenly transform the conventional way of doing things; overnight turning established technology into outdated tradition. Since the turn of the century bosses have been dictating letters, and their secretaries have been laboriously typing them out. Now a portable typewriter - no bigger than a pocket calculator - allows anyone to type up to ten pages of letters (or anything else!) straight into an internal memory. Then, plugged into an ordinary typewriter it prints out the letters all by itself.
