Summary

COI synopsis: Mice, those nocturnal marauders, cause thousands of pounds worth of damage in industry every year. So researchers at a British university have made a study of mice behavioural patterns that has led to a new kind of mouse alarm. They observed that before the mice move in, one mouse makes an exploratory visit. The new alarm warns immediately the exploratory mouse appears and allows the invasion that would normally follow to be prevented before the damage is done.
