- COI synopsis: Representatives of countries all over the world came to Stratford on Avon to celebrate the four-hundredth anniversary of the birth of William Shakespeare, England’s greatest poet. Those in the procession, who carried wreaths to lay at Shakespeare’s tomb, included people from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Equador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Salvador, Uruguay and Venezuela.
