Summary
COI synopsis: Britain has long established trading links with Brazil and many British ships come to Salvador, whose harbour has been modernised to speed the loading and unloading of cargoes. Grain is unloaded, quickly packed right on the spot and rushed to waiting mills. Oil is pumped from oiltankers straight into a refinery and then, as petrol, into waiting lorries, ready for the machinery which it drives.
