- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rugby - England V Scotland, (Calcutta Cup). DESCRIPTION: England met Scotland at Twickenham, for this year’s Calcutta Cup match. A try by Mike Slemen within the first three minutes gave England an early lead. A penalty kick by Bennett (England) and a try by Rutherford (Scotland) made half-time score England 7 - Scotland 4. In the second half Scotland levelled the score to 7 all and that was the final result, the first draw for 14 years. England the holders retained the Calcutta Cup.
