Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Concorde. DESCRIPTION: Royal Patronage for the Queen of the skies - Her Royal Highness, Princess Margaret & Lord Snowdon, take a trip in Concorde 002. The flight lasts for one hour, 40 minutes, and for 42 minutes flew at twice the speed of sound. SHOTLIST: GV Concorde takes off from Fairford. MS interior Princess Margaret & party looking at controls and talking to flight engineer. CU Margaret talking to member of crew. MCU Margaret looking at controls and talking to members of crew. CU Margaret smiling. LS Concorde flies overhead, coming in to land. MS photographers on runway. LS pan Concorde taxiing along runway after landing. Angle shot nose of plane. MLS royal party coming down plane steps, Margaret & Brian Trubshaw first, followed by Lord Snowdon, then Air Minister Michael Heseltine with the Duke of Kent followed by Prince William (of Gloucester) presented to crew by Trubshaw at bottom of steps.
