Even the dour, overcast skies couldn’t mar the magnificent pageant, which has its origins as far back as the days of King George the III. Hundreds of thousands thronged to the Horse Guards Parade to watch the ceremony (marking the Queen’s official birthday). SHOTLIST: Gv troops march onto ground. LV crowd. GV mass of guards form up.
