MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Winter Sports Colour. DESCRIPTION: The winter sports seasons almost here, and Movietone look at spectacular developments in Scotland where holiday centres can now offer facilities rivalling many Alpine resorts. Sporting and social amenities to suit every taste - every age group. SHOTLIST: SV Minibus arrives through hotel gateway (Hotel Coylumbridge - Rank hotel). TV mountain river with man fishing. GV river pan to SV & fishing. CU area of water in which man is fishing. BIG GV mountain river. CU hand picks up clay pigeon for shooting practise pan as target is put into firing mechanism. SV man fires target into air. G to A target rises into air. CU BV man fires at target G to A target is hit in the air. SV man fires target. GV ski slopes. BIG GV 2 shots people skiing. SV man skis to a halt. Angle shot towards boys riding ponies through forest. SV ditto with lake in b/g. GV lake with free in f/g. SV pan towards & past boy & girl in canoe along fast flowing stream. SV pan 2 canoes along stream. LBV canoes pass under bridge. GV hotel’s ice rink at night. SV towards & past a line of skaters holding hands. GV group of people listening to a folk singer in a firelit room. CU signer with listeners in b/g. 3 CUs people listening. GV snow scene skiers lodge. CU skier fixes goggles over his eyes. CU skier’s feet pan as he moves off down slope. GV (from cable car) skiers on slopes. SV pan skiers down slope at 166’ one falls over and flounders round on his back. LV skier speeds down slope to a halt. SV pan minibus towards & past through hotel gateway. SV minibus pulls up outside reception. Angle shot skiers alight from minibus. SV skiers walk towards. SV piper with bagpipes enters dining room followed by chef carrying food on a platter & wine waiter waving bottles of whisky. CU as ditto walk past. SV as ditto approach man & woman at table. CU food and whisky are put onto table. CU piper’s face pan down as he draws his knife & hands to man who starts to cut the haggis. CU haggis being cut open. CU man’s face. CU haggis being cut open. CU another man looks on. CU girl looking. CU whisky being poured. SV man hands a drink to the piper & the chef & all drink a toast. CU piper drinking. SV man with accordion. GV young people folk dancing. LV band. LV people dancing Gay Gordons.
