Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Lighthouse Relief. DESCRIPTION: Helicopters are now in regular use by Trinity House to relieve the lonely lighthouse keepers on the Smalls and South Bishop Lights. We go with the ‘copter to take supplies and new keepers to the wave-lashed lighthouses and are winched down onto the slippery rocks. SHOTLIST: LV pan up as chopper takes off. SCU relief men in helicopter. CU insignia on shoulder Trinity House. A to G through door of chopper of lighthouse. SCU pan crew of chopper. SCU winchman at door of chopper. A to G rough sea pounding on rocks. SCU winchman starts to lower relief man. TV through door relief man on ground. BIG GV another lighthouse in sea. GV lighthouse. LV flag Jolly Roger. SV sign bus stop. GV lighthouse pan to SV helicopter. SCU man being lowered. Travel S ditto. LV man is lowered. SCU winchman starts to lower food supplies. LV supplies are lowered. SCU winchman & Graham Allan (beard) relief lighthouse men walk up steps. GV lighthouse. SV winchman & Graham Allan pan up to lighthouse. SV interior Graham Allan inspects light bulbs. G to A old lighthouse keeper is lifted into helicopter. GV lighthouse pan to chopper flies away.
