MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Export Award. DESCRIPTION: A London businessman who developed an anti-fogging device used in the American space programme wins a Young Exporter award. Mr George Herbage has since been awarded the only research contract outside the United States dealing with the Apollo Programme. SHOTLIST: GV exterior aircraft & instrument demisting building. SV interior Mr Herbage mixing anti-solution liquid. 2 CUs Mr Herbage, putting solution into bottle. SV Mr Herbage picks up bottle - starts to pour liquid into helmet. 2 CUs pouring anti-mist solution into helmet, Herbage holding up helmet & shaking solution round helmet. 2 SVs ditto, placing treated helmet alongside untreated helmet over boiling water. CU Herbage looking through treated helmet pan to misted up untreated helmet. 3 SVs, towards & pan astronauts with space helmets on. Interior Herbage received award £1,000 cheque & certificate from chairman of NP [sic] Mr David Robarts, audience applauding. CU certificate. SV Herbage with chair & certificate. National Westminster Bank’s Young Exporter Awards.
