DESCRIPTION: A touching ceremony at Aintree racecourse as the ashes of veteran jockey Frank Tich Mason are scattered at the start of the Grand National Course. Mrs Mirabelle Topham and racecourse officials join the widow, daughter and granddaughter of the jockey who won the 1905 Grand National on Kirkland for this tribute in accordance with his last wish. SHOTLIST: GV Aintree race course. SV Mason’s daughter & granddaughter arrive carrying ashes in urn. CU Mrs Topham and Mason’s wife sitting in car. LV racecourse staff remove hats, daughter moves towards starting tapes. SV Mr Bidwell Topham removes hat & presses lever. LV starters tape up, daughter runs forward and starts to scatter ashes. CU ashes being scattered. SV ditto. CU Mrs Mason watching from car. SV granddaughter & daughter walk off carrying empty urn.
