Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Time on Their Hands. DESCRIPTION: Commuters and British Rail sometimes have slight differences about time, but its the job of these men at Reading to at least keep the hands of time turning even if the train is not there on time. But at sea, it’s goodbye to the chronometer - at least as far as the Royal Navy are concerned. High precision Swiss watches have taken over, and the Royal Greenwich Observatory has a lot of brass-bound chronometers for sale.
